Box Score DAYTON – The Wright State baseball team fell to Northern Kentucky, 6-4, on Saturday afternoon. The rubber match is set for a 1 p.m. first pitch on Sunday, May 11. Fans are encouraged to arrive early to celebrate five Raidergang graduates and eight seniors.
Northern Kentucky opened the scoring with five runs in the fourth inning, scoring twice on singles and adding another on an RBI triple. Wright State responded with three in the bottom half.
Braylen Blomquist led off with a double down the left field line and was driven in by a double from
Boston Smith.
Luke Arnold drew a walk before
Cam Gilkerson delivered the Raiders' third double of the inning to score Smith. Arnold came home as
Hunter Warren reached on a fielder's choice.
NKU added a run in the fifth on a bases-loaded single. Following a scoreless sixth, the Raiders plated the final run of the game in the seventh, as
Gus Gregory singled to right center to bring in Warren, who had doubled and advanced to third on a groundout by
Patrick Fultz.
