Raiders with work to do after NCAA Regional opening round

URBANA, IL – The Wright State golf team has some work to do after the opening round of the 2025 NCAA Urbana Regional on Monday, where the Raiders are 13th as a group.

Second round action gets underway at 9 a.m. ET on Tuesday morning, with the Raiders again teeing off from the first tee. Brock Rumpke will be the first Raider out at 10:50 a.m., followed by Timmy Hollenbeck (11:01 a.m.), Andrew Flynn (11:12 a.m.), Adam Horn (11:23 a.m.) and Shane Ochs (11:34 a.m.).

The Raiders closed the opening round with a team 299 score after carding 52 pars and 12 birdies as a group, however they added 20 bogeys and five double bogeys over the first 18 holes as well.

Ochs opened with a front nine 35 before finishing his opening round with a pair of birdies and three bogeys for a one-over 72 in his first 18 holes to sit at one-over in a tie for 31st, nine shots back of individual leader Jackson Buchanan of Illinois.

The remainder of the Raider lineup is all clustered together on the individual leaderboard. Horn is tied for 47th after his opening round three-over 74, notching three birdies and two bogeys while also saddled with an eight on the par four, 505-yard 11th hole. Flynn (t57th) is five-over after a first round 76 with three birdies, all on his front nine holes, five bogeys and a double bogey, while Hollenbeck (t64th) is six-over following his 77 with a pair of birdies, four bogeys and two double bogeys. Rumpke (t70th) opened with a seven-over 78 with a birdie on his opening hole to go along with six bogeys and a double bogey.
