Raider golf announces 2026-27 schedule

DAYTON- The Wright State golf team and head coach Conner Lash announced the full 2026-27 schedule on Tuesday afternoon, a slate that includes 13 total events spread out across the 2026 fall and 2027 spring seasons.

The Raiders will begin the fall by traveling to Nashport, Ohio, for the Virtues Intercollegiate on August 29 and 30, after tying for fourth in the event last season. Wright State will then travel to Huntington, West Virginia, to compete in the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational on September 14 and 15, after a nine-year absence from the event. Wright State then returns to the Earl Yestingmeier Invitational, hosted by Ball State, on September 26 and 27, after tying for third a season ago.

The fall wraps up back at home with a trio of events, first at Moraine Country Club on October 12 and 13 for the Moraine Intercollegiate, hosted by Miami (OH). The Raiders will also have individuals competing on October 12 and 13 at the Country Club of the North in Xenia, Ohio, as part of the Raider Invitational. The final event of the fall slate will come on October 19 and 20 at the NCR Country Club and the Dayton Flyer Invitational.

Wright State will begin the spring at the Border Olympics in Laredo, Texas, hosted by the University of Houston, on February 15 and 16. The Raiders will continue their swing through the south at the Lake Jovita Invitational, hosted by Ball State, February 27- March 1. They stay on the road the following week, competing at the Surf Club Intercollegiate in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, hosted by App State, on March 8 and 9.

The Raiders will head to the Volunteer State for back-to-back tournaments, first returning to the Sweentens Cove Intercollegiate in South Pittsburg, Tennessee, for the second consecutive season, March 27-29. Wright State opens April in the Memphis suburbs at the Memphis Intercollegiate on April 5 and 6 before closing the regular season by playing host to the Wright State Invitational on April 11 and 12 at Heatherwoode Golf Club. The Raiders have won the last six team titles and had the last six individual winners while serving as hosts of the event. Wright State then travels to Florida for the 2027 Horizon League Championship, April 24-26, at Mission Inn Resort.

Wright State captured its 10th Horizon League Championship in Florida in May, tying them for the most all-time in the Horizon, while Shane Ochs grabbed the individual title. Wright State has tallied seven top-five finishes in 11 total tournaments last season, spanning the fall and spring schedule, highlighted by the Horizon League Championship and a sixth-straight team title at the Wright State Invitational. Ochs was named Horizon League Golfer of the Year, and Conner Lash was named the HL Coach of the Year for the third-straight season. In addition to the two major awards, Ochs was joined on the All-League First Team by Timmy Hollenbeck.
