Boston Smith Earns Second #HLBASE Weekly Honor

INDIANAPOLIS – Wright State baseball's Boston Smith has earned his second Horizon League weekly honor, being named Batter of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.
Smith, a senior catcher, led the Raiders to a series win over Northern Kentucky, batting .500 over the three-game set. He posted a 2.083 OPS with a 1.500 slugging percentage and a .583 on-base percentage.
The Arcanum, Ohio native totaled six RBI on five hits—four for extra bases, including a double and three home runs. He notably hit two homers in the series opener, both two-run shots.
Smith and the Raiders will close the regular season on the road, first with a midweek game at Kent State on Tuesday, May 13, before wrapping up Horizon League play with a three-game series at Purdue Fort Wayne beginning Thursday, May 15.
