Ian Molfenter joined the Wright State men's soccer coaching staff in July 2022.
Molfenter joined the Raiders after serving as a Player Development Intern with the Columbus Crew and has also managed both the Boys and Girls soccer programs at Carroll High School. He is also an assistant coach in USL 2 with the Dayton Dutch Lions and the club administrator and coach with Ohio Galaxies FC. Additionally, Molfenter holds a Performance Analysis Diploma from the United Soccer Coaches Association.
Molfenter began his career at Wright State, playing one season for the Raiders (2017) before transferring to Wilmington College, where he played under current Raider assistant coach Alex Van der Sluijs. A two-year team captain at Wilmington College, Molfenter was twice selected as a first team performer in the All-Ohio Athletic Conference and was also a member of the United Soccer Coaches Academic All-Region Team and was the Clyde Lamb Award Winner.
