Noah Schaub was named an assistant coach for the Wright State cross country and track and field programs in September 2023.
Schaub previously served as the men's cross country and distance coach and recruiting coordinator at Division II Malone University. He initially joined the Malone distance coaching staff in the summer of 2021 before earning a promotion in August 2022.
The Northeast Ohio native coached Malone's men's cross country program to a 14th-place finish in the 2022 NCAA Division II Midwest Regional. Max Gucker advanced to the 2022 NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships, where he placed 89th out of 257 runners with a personal-best 10K time of 31:09.0.
Before joining the coaching ranks, Schaub competed as a student-athlete for Malone and Bowling Green. At BGSU, Schaub earned All-MAC First Team honors twice, finishing third as a junior and second as a senior at the conference championship meet. He was also named a member of the NCAA Great Lakes All-Regional Team as a senior. As a senior, he earned the Falcon Medal of Honor Award for excellence in athletics, academics, leadership, and community service.
After earning an undergraduate degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Nutrition at BGSU, Schaub finished his athletic career at Malone by competing with the track and field team for two seasons.
Between indoor and outdoor track, he won four Great Midwest Athletic Conference individual championships. Schaub was also named the 2021 G-MAC Track Athlete of the Year in both indoor and outdoor track. He earned All-American honors after placing fourth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the 2021 NCAA Division II Track and Field Championships.
