GALENA, Ohio-The Wright State golf team finished in second place by one stroke over UW-Green Bay and two over Cleveland State but six behind Detroit at the Horizon League Championships played at Royal American Golf Links on Tuesday.
The Raiders shot a final round score of 307 to finish at 897. UWGB shot a 301 to make it close for second but each fell short of Detroit's 302 for a championship total of 891.
Wright State had three players in the top ten with senior Brandon Judy of Beavercreek being named to the all-tournament team with four-under-par score of 220 for fourth place after a 76 in round three. Senior Marty Miller of Middletown and sophomore Brandon Knutson of South Bend, Ind. both tied for tenth place with a final total of 226.
Cleveland State's Doug Barber won top individual honors with an even-par score of 216.
The tournament marked Wright State's top finish of the 2004-05 season as well as the top individual finish of the year.
