Men Drop 58-38 Decision at Milwaukee

Box Score

The Wright State offense could never get on track Thursday night as the Raiders dropped a 58-38 Horizon League decision at Milwaukee.

Milwaukee scored the first eight points of the game before WSU answered with five straight of its own on a Reggie Arceneaux three-point play and a AJ Pacher layup.  The Panthers, however, broke the game open with a 14-2 run over the next five minutes en route to a 31-17 halftime advantage.

The Raiders hit just six of 24 shots in the first half, including one of seven from three-point range, while Milwaukee shot 52 percent from the field.

Wright State would get no closer than 13 the rest of the way in shooting 26 percent overall compared to 47 percent for the Panthers.

Pacher led the Raiders with 10 points off the bench, but no other WSU player managed more than six.

Tony Meier paced Milwaukee (12-6, 5-1 Horizon) with 16 off the bench while James Haarsma had 13.

Wright State (9-10, 4-3 Horizon) heads to Green Bay Saturday for the Horizon League Game of the Week starting at 2:00 Eastern.  It can be seen on Time-Warner Channel 99 in the Dayton area.
