Women's Basketball Play in Savannah Invitational

The Wright State women's basketball team will take its 2-1 record to the Savannah Invitational where they play Stetson Tuesday at 2 pm, Providence Wednesday at 4:30 pm and Richmond Thursday at 2 pm.
Wright State
The Raiders are coming off a near upset at #23 Missouri Thursday night as WSU lost 82-80 at the buzzer. Senior Chelsea Welch had a career-high 36 points. Vogelpohl had 14 points and nine rebounds, Simmons added 13 points and Taylor finished with 10. Welch's 36 points was also the most since KC Elkin had 37 against Valparaiso in March 8, 2014 and most by a Raider on the road since Kim Demmings' 36 at Oakland on February 18, 2014.
Stetson
The Hatters will enter the game with a 2-1 record as they posted wins over Thomas and Chattanooga but lost at #2 Texas. Four Stetson players average in double figures, led by Brittney Chambers at 17.7 and Kennedy Clocough at 16.7.
Providence
The Friars will enter the event with a 1-2 record with a lone win over Northeastern in overtime. Jovana Nogic leads Providence with a 22.3 points per game average
Richmond
The Spiders own a 3-1 record going into the tournament with wins over Fairfield, Columbia and East Carolina. Marcela Parson leads the way for Richmond with an 18.8 average.
