The Phoenix are currently 10-1 and ranked 19th nationally in this week's poll as well as first in the Mid-Major Poll. GB has won five straight with its lone loss of the season against #3 Mississippi State. Jessica Lindstrom leads the Phoenix at 14.5 points and 9.3 rebounds a game. Allie LaClaire averages 12.7 points per game. Green Bay was picked to win the League title as Lindstrom and LaClaire were named to the preseason teams. Wright State will play at Green Bay on February 3.Â
Milwaukee Panthers
The Panthers will start the Horizon League schedule at Northern Kentucky Thursday with a 9-3 overall record before coming to Dayton Saturday. The Panthers were ranked 25th in last week's Mid-Major Poll and won nine of the last ten games, including a 67-64 win at Wisconsin. Steph Kostowicz leads the team with averages of 16.6 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. Jenny Lindner (12.3) and Bailey Farley (11.1) also average double-figure scoring for UWM. Milwaukee was picked to finish fourth in the Horizon League while Kostowicz was named to the preseason first team. The Raiders will visit Milwaukee on February 1.
