The Wright State women's basketball team held on, scoring the final six points of the game to secure the 56-51 win over Milwaukee Saturday afternoon at the WSU Nutter Center.  Senior Chelsea Welch posted her fourth-straight 20-point game as she paced the Raiders with 21 points. 

GAME SUMMARY

First Half Highlights

• The Raiders led 27-25 at halftime after leading 14-13 at the end of the first quarter.
• Wright State spread the scoring and were led by senior Chelsea Welch's seven points as Mackenzie Taylor and Lexi Smith each had six points.
• Symone Simmons had six of the Raiders' 18 rebounds.
• Milwaukee had 11 turnovers compared to just four for WSU.
• Wright State had the largest lead of eight points at 12-4 early.
• Stephanie Kostowicz had 11 points to pace the Panthers

Second Half Highlights

• The Raiders held on for a 56-51 decision as Welch came alive to finish with 21 points and nine rebounds.  It was her eighth game of at least 20 points.
• Smith ended with 12 points and Vogelpohl had 10 points.
• Simmons grabbed 12 boards.
• The Panthers took the lead at 51-50 with 2:02 remaining but the Raiders outscored UWM 6-0 for the win.
• UWM had 19 turnovers while the Raiders had just seven.

• The lead changed 11 times with four ties.
• The Raiders outscored the Panthers 34-26 in the paint.
• WSU is now 10-4, 1-1.
