Behind the pitching of Zane Collins and Jeremy Randolph, the Wright State baseball team posted a 3-0 win at Wofford Saturday afternoon.
The Raiders would score all three of their runs in the middle innings, starting with a single run in the fourth. Zach Weatherford led off with a single to left and stole second. JD Orr walk and runners were on first and third after Seth Gray hit into a fielder's choice. Adrian Marquez followed with another fielder's choice to drive in Weatherford.
WSU extended the lead to 3-0 with a pair of runs in the fifth. Daniel Arthur led off with a hit to center and, two outs later, Matt Morrow hit a two-run home run down the right field line, his second of the season.
The pitching took over from there as starter Collins allowed just three hits and a walk over seven shutout innings with seven strikeouts. Randolph came on in the eighth and gave up only a walk over the final two innings, fanning two.
Arthur finished with two hits for Wright State (6-4), who takes on Pittsburgh Sunday at noon in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
