The Wright State baseball team took a 2-1 lead in the seventh, only to see Northern Kentucky answer with six in the bottom of the inning to win the Horizon League series finale 7-2 Sunday afternoon at the Bill Aker Complex.
NKU took a 1-0 lead in the third and it stayed that way until WSU tied it with a run in the sixth on a solo home run by Gabe Snyder, his ninth of the season.
The Raiders then went up 2-1 with a run in the seventh. Zach Weatherford led off with a single up the middle, stole second, went to third on a throwing error and scored as Kevin Whatley doubled down the left field line.
Northern Kentucky, however, responded with six runs in its half of the seventh, including a two-run single by Jake Richmond and a two-run homer by TJ Alas.
Wright State (29-13, 15-4 Horizon) will host five games next week, starting with a 6:30 matchup on Tuesday, May 2, against Cincinnati.
