The Wright State volleyball team fell 3-0 to #2 and defending national champion Stanford Saturday night at the LBSU Biden Invitational in Long Beach, CA. The scores were 19-25, 11-25 and 21-25
First Set Highlights
The Raiders scored five of six points midway through the set on their way to post 19 points overall. Wright State posted 13 kills, two aces and two blocks as a team.
Second Set Highlights
Wright State's 11 points came from 11 kills, keeping it close early.
Third Set Highlights
WSU collected 21 points on the third set from 10 kills, an ace and two blocks. The Raiders took the lead early and stayed close, cutting the lead to just two points at 23-21 late.
Senior
Katie Klusman tied for the match lead with nine kills while
Abby Barcus ended with seven kills.Â
Celia Powers and
Teddie Sauer each had six kills and combined for five blocks.Â
Maddie Lohmeier had 29 assists and five digs while
Jessie Thornton finished with 15 digs to lead both teams. The Raiders matched Stanford (3-0) with 37 digs each while WSU had 34 total kills to SU's 37.

The Raiders (0-3) will play SIU-Edwardsville, UMKC and Tulsa at the Cougar Classic hosted by SIU-E next weekend.
