Wright State head baseball coach Jeff Mercer has announced two staff additions to the program.
"I am very excited and our program is fortunate to add staff members as talented as Diamyn and Denton," Mercer said. "They were both Division I athletes that pushed themselves academically and are a terrific example for our student athletes. They are both incredibly individually motivated and have already made an outstanding impact on our program. I look forward to seeing them shape our program and constantly challenging us to become the best version of ourselves."
Diamyn Hall, Mental Game Development Coordinator, will utilize video analysis to enhance the facilitation process. Hall received his first Bachelor's degree from Grambling State University in Psychology and his second Bachelor's from Georgia State University in Sociology. He is currently pursuing a duel Master's and Doctorate degree in Sport Psychology at John F. Kennedy University.
Â
Denton Sagerman, Director of Baseball Operations, will primarily be responsible for data collection, statistical analysis and improving the processing systems. He will also serve in an operations role, helping in the day to day requirements of the program. Sagerman received his Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and his Master's in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Dayton. He is currently pursuing a second Master's from Gonzaga University in Sports and Athletic Administration.
Mercer, who played for the Raiders, enters his second season as head coach after spending the previous three years as an assistant coach. The Raiders posted 38 wins during his first season in 2017.
