Coming off of the Dayton Flyer Invitational last week, we're looking forward to closing out our fall season at Xavier's home event.

We had some bright spots last week at NCR Country Club. Â Austin Schoonmaker continues his great play carding two under-par rounds including a front nine -5 (31) in round one. Â Austin played great and notched yet another top 10 finish individually this season. Â Austin tells me that he's "never felt better mentally than he does now."

We also had some good play by the two true freshmen Davis Root, who finished T30, and Cole Corder. Â These two really are going about their business incredibly well for only having been in school 2 1/2 months. Â It's a big transition, and they've handled it amazingly well, coming in to make an immediate impact on the team. Â They have a tremendous work ethic, are extremely coachable and are great teammates.Â
WEATHER NOTE: We may have a frost delay on Monday morning, depending on how the weather shakes out. The coaches will meet at 3 p.m. on Sunday and will discuss any possible changes to the schedule. The weather should cooperate, there is just a potential to play more than 18 holes on Tuesday.
