@WSUWBasketball Dominates Hofstra Friday Afternoon

Nashville, Tenn. – The Wright State women's basketball team returned to action Friday afternoon after five days off from games, when they played the first of three games in the Challenge in Music City, a four-team tournament in Nashville, Tennessee. The Raiders battled against the Hoftstra Pride in the second game of Friday's session, a game that the green and gold dominated from the opening tip-off.

First Half Recap
Behind spectacular shooting from Mackenzie Taylor and Michal Miller, the Raiders wasted no time jumping out to an early lead in Friday's contest. In just one quarter of play, the Raiders were able to jump out to a seven-point advantage. Taylor could not be contained in her 14 minutes on the floor in the first half, putting up 20 points on eight of nine shooting from the floor. Not to be outdone, Michal Miller put up 14 of her own in the first half as the Raiders took an 18-point advantage into the locker room at the half.

Second Half Recap
The Pride came out in the second half looking to chip away at the deficit they faced, and that is exactly what they did in the third quarter. Hofstra would outscore Wright State 25-20 in the third, bringing the game within 13. This short run from Hofstra would inspire the Raiders moving into the fourth quarter, as they would run away with the game in the final frame, using a 25-9 advantage to win the game by a comfortable 29 points.
