Wright State
The Raiders, 6-6, are riding a two-game winning streak after defeating Morehead State at home last Tuesday 78-67.  Loudon Love led the way with 19 points and 10 rebounds, his sixth double-double of the season.   Bill Wampler and Cole Gentry each ended the game with 18 points as Skyelar Potter finished with 12.  WSU, down by three at half, ignited for 37 points in the second half to secure the win.

Wampler, Love and Gentry each average in double figures, led by Wampler's 14.7 clip.  The Raiders rank second in the Horizon League for scoring defense (68.4) and three-point percentage (.381).  Wampler (11th), Love (14th) and Gentry (15th) rank in the conference's top 15 scorers.

The teams met once before in Starkville, MS on Dec. 16, 2009 as MSU won 80-69.  WSU's Troy Tabler led all scorers with 22 points on six three pointers while three others also scored in double figures.  WSU trailed 43-31 at half but outscored the Bulldogs 38-37 in the final half of play.

Mississippi State
The Bulldogs, 10-1, have a seven-game winning streak and have posted wins over Dayton, Cincinnati and Clemson with its lone loss against Arizona State in late November in Las Vegas.  MSU defeated Wofford 98-87 Wednesday night.  Mississippi State trailed by nine points at the half exploded for 57 points in the second half, finishing with its fourth-straight game of 10 or more threes.  The Bulldogs are currently ranked 17th in the AP Poll after being as high as 15th earlier in the season.

MSU was picked to finish fourth in the Southeastern Conference preseason poll while Quinndary Weatherspoon was voted to the pre-season All-SEC Second-Team honors for the third consecutive season and was named to the post-season second team last year while his brother Nick was selected to the SEC Freshman Team.  The Bulldogs finished 25-12, losing to Penn State in the finals of the 2018 NIT.

Q. Weatherspoon leads MSU at 16.6 points a game with four others also averaging 10.0 or above while the team has outscored its opponents by 13.6 points.
