First Place Raiders Host Wisconsin Teams






The first place Wright State men's basketball team comes home to host Green Bay Thursday at 7:30 pm and Milwaukee Saturday at 7 pm.  Both games can be seen on ESPN3 and heard on 106.5 FM/iHeart app with Chris Collins and Jim Brown.  Thursday's game will also be shown on Spectrum Sports in Ohio with Scott Leo and Braden Bushman.

The Raiders are tied for first place with Northern Kentucky with 10-2 League records.  WSU split last weekend's games, losing at Cleveland State 77-74 and winning at Youngstown State 83-57.  Wright State has three players in double-figure scoring, led by Grant Benzinger at 14.2.  Loudon Love averages 12.2 and Cole Gentry sits at 10.2 points per game.  Love leads the league at 9.4 rebounds a game.  Gentry led four Raiders in double-digit scoring at Youngstown State last Saturday night with 21 points.

Wright State is 11-1 in home games and 5-0 in league home games.

GREEN BAY
  • The Phoenix are currently 10-16, 5-8 and have won two of the last three games, losing Saturday at Milwaukee 76-58 after beating Cleveland State and Youngstown State at home the week before. 
  • Khalil Small leads UWGB in scoring and rebounding at 17.8 points and 6.5 rebounds. 
  • The Phoenix were picked to finish sixth in the preseason poll.
  • GB is 0-11 in road games, including 0-5 in league road games.
  • The Phoenix lead the overall series 31-27, though WSU won 80-67 on January 18 in Green Bay.

MILWAUKEE
  • The Panthers are 13-13, 6-7 and have won four of the last five games, including a win over Green Bay Saturday 76-58 at home. 
  • Milwaukee, picked to finish eighth in the preseason poll, have been led by Jeremiah Bell at 13.6 points per game and Brock Stull at 13.4 points. 
  • Bryce Nze is averaging 10.4 points and a team-high 7.8 rebounds. 
  • UWM holds a road record of 4-7 and 1-4 in Horizon League road games.
  • The Panthers lead the overall series 29-28 after a Panther 66-61 win over WSU on January 20 in Milwaukee.

NEXT UP
  • The Raiders will host Northern Kentucky in a 9 pm game Friday night on ESPNU.
  • NKU is currently tied with the Raiders for first place and host Milwaukee and Green Bay this weekend.
