Raiders Host Michigan Teams

The Wright State women's basketball team comes home to host Detroit Mercy Thursday at 5 pm and Oakland Saturday at 4:30 pm. The games can be seen live on ESPN3 with Scott Leo and Courtney Boyd Thursday and Leo and Justin Kinner Saturday.
The Raiders continue to be led by senior Chelsea Welch at 21.4 points a game. She also leads the Horizon League in scoring and assist/turnover ratio. Junior Emily Vogelpohl, who needs just 26 points for 1,000 and 11 rebounds for 500 in her career, is currently averaging 11.0 points and 6.9 rebounds. Senior Lexi Smith needs just 37 points for 1,000.
Wright State leads the Horizon League in scoring at 74.1 points per game and rebounding at 40.9. WSU is currently fifth in defense, allowing 60.9 points.
DETROIT MERCY
- The Titans are 1-21, 1-10 with its lone win coming at UIC 61-58 in mid-January.
- Detroit Mercy leads the overall series 28-25 as WSU won at Calihan Hall 88-60 on January 6.
- The Titans hit 15 three pointers against Cleveland State last Thursday, one shy of their school record.
- Nicole Urbanick needs five threes for the individual school record of 231.
- UDM will play at Northern Kentucky Saturday afternoon.

OAKLAND
- With a game at Northern Kentucky before coming to Dayton, Oakland is currently 11-11, 4-7.
- WSU won at Oakland 77-57 on January 4, as Welch had 23 points and Vogelpohl and Symone Simmons each posted double-doubles.
- Wright State leads the overall series 11-1.
- The Grizzlies have five players in double-figure scoring, led by Sha'Keya Graves at 12.6 points per game.
- Oakland has lost five of the last six with its lone win coming at Detroit Mercy on January 27.
