Baseball Takes Come Back Win

The Raider baseball team opened a three-game series at UT-Arlington Friday afternoon with an 8-6 come from behind win.  The Raiders led 4-1 early but lost the lead by giving up five runs in the sixth to the Mavericks.  WSU scored twice in the eight and added two more in the ninth to secure its second straight comeback victory.

Gabe Snyder led the Raiders with three hits and four RBI, including a homerun in the first inning.  Damon Dues also had three hits with two runs scored while Peyton Burdick, JD Orr and Chase Slone each added two hits.  Morrow and Jones each had hits as well.

Ryan Weiss started on the mound for the Raiders, giving up six earned runs in 5.2 innings.  Jeremy Randolph picked up the win with a one-two-three eighth inning as Derek Hendrixson got his second save with a similar ninth.
