Baseball Drops to Finale to Panthers

The Wright State baseball team's come back fell short as the Raiders lost to Milwaukee 3-2 Sunday afternoon at Nischwitz Stadium.

The Panthers scored once in the second and two in the third as the Raiders used a two-run homerun from Gabe Snyder in the eighth, driving in Peyton Burdick to cut the lead.  JD Orr, Burdick, Alex Alder, Chase Slone and Brandon Giltrow all picked up one hit each for WSU. 

Zane Collins had the start for the Raiders, giving up two earned runs and striking out seven over five innings.  Mitch Gremling, Jason Foster, Jeremy Randolph and Derek Hendrixson each pitched an inning to finish the game, allowing just one hit and collecting five more strikeouts.

Wright State is now 13-8 and 4-2.  WSU will play at Xavier Tuesday afternoon.
