Baseball Wins at NKU

The Wright State baseball team made it two straight at Northern Kentucky with a 14-2 win Saturday afternoon.

The Raiders jumped out to a 9-0 lead in the sixth inning after scoring seven runs in the fourth. Peyton Burdick had four hits with two doubles, two RBI and two runs as Zane Harris drive in three runs on a homerun and a single.  Alex Alders joined in with four hits, two RBI and a double while Seth Gray and JD Orr added two hits each.

Zane Collins picked up his second win on the season as he gave up one earned with three strikeouts in six innings.  Jeremy Randolph, Bear Bellomy and Tyler Luneke finished the game for the Raiders.

"This was another quality series win, we've pitched it well the last few weeks and got two nice starts and good bullpen work," WSU head coach Jeff Mercer said.  "I feel good about what directing we're trending as we continue to play terrific defense and our offense is executing at a high level."

Wright State is 15-10 and 6-3 and will play at Cincinnati Tuesday at 6:30 pm.
