The first place Wright State baseball team split a doubleheader at Oakland Saturday afternoon, winning the first 14-2 and dropping the second 6-4.
In game one, Peyton Burdick collected five RBI on two hits, Zane Harris had four RBI on two hits, including a home run and Gabe Snyder finished with three RBI on a double and a walk. Matt Morrow and Zach Weatherford each posted two hits as well. Pitcher Ryan Weiss threw seven innings, allowing one earned run and striking out seven with no walks. Bear Bellomy finished the game while giving up no runs.
In game two, Harris continued his hot hitting as he drove in two on a double and Burdick had three hits to end the day with five total. Bentley Jones had two hits as Morrow, Snyder, Weatherford and Seth Gray added a hit each. Daniel Kreuzer pitched the first inning, giving up an earned run off two hits and four walks. Caleb Sampen and Jeremy Randolph three innings each while Mitch Gremling pitched the ninth for the loss.
The Raiders, 24-13 and 12-5, will finish the series at Oakland Sunday afternoon on ESPN+.
