Pittsburgh Pirates Select Duncan in 2026 MLB Draft

PHILADELPHIA, PA- Wright State outfielder Andrew Duncan was selected in the 19^th round of the 2026 Major League Baseball Draft on Monday afternoon.

Duncan was selected by the Pittsburgh Pirates with the 558th overall pick.

The Raiders have now produced 22 MLB Draft selections over the last 11 drafts, dating back to 2015, and 46 total picks in program history. During that span, Tyler Black, Peyton Burdick, Sean Murphy, and Jesse Scholtens have all reached the Major Leagues.

A native of Tallahassee, Florida, Duncan appeared in 54 games with 53 starts for the Raiders in his lone season in the Green and Gold. The junior slashed .367/.436/.577 in his lone season as a member of the Raidergang with 79 hits, 25 of which were extra base hits. Duncan finished the 2025 campaign in a four-way tie for the national lead in triples with eight. Along with his .367 batting average, Duncan also led the Raiders in total bases with 124 and stolen bases with 19.

For his stellar play on the field, Duncan earned First Team All-League honors as well as being named to the Horizon League All-Tournament team.
