@WSUBaseball Cruises Over NKU

The Wright State baseball team ended the regular season with a 22-2 win over Northern Kentucky Saturday afternoon at home and now look to the Horizon League Tournament next week at Nischwitz Stadium May 23-26.

Matt Morrow and Seth Gray each had four hits while Gabe Snyder and Zach Weatherford each had four RBI to fuel the Raiders' largest run total since scoring 25 runs against Wilmington College on March 12, 2013. Zane Harris picked up three hits as well as Wright State ended with 24 hits overall.  Alex Alders has the lone WSU long ball while the green and gold collected eight doubles, including two from Morrow and Orr.  The Raiders scored runs in six of the eight innings with a season-high 10 runs in the second.  On the three-game series, Wright State outscored the Norse 47-8.

Starter Derek Hendrixson raised his overall record to 2-2, pitching five innings with one earned run and three strikeouts.  Zane Collins, Jason Foster, Jorge Luzano and Bear Bellomy each pitched an inning to finish the game.

Wright State ends the regular season at 36-15 and 22-6.  The Raiders will host the 2018 Horizon League Tournament May 23-26, playing Thursday at 11 am.
