@WSUVBall Trips at Cleveland State

The Wright State volleyball team was in action again Saturday at defending Horizon League Champions Cleveland State, losing 3-1 by scores of 20-25, 25-16, 25-10 and 25-14.  WSU is now 9-7, 1-3 while the Vikings go to 10-6, 4-0.

Celia Powers had her career-high 18 kills to hit .333 with 17 digs as Mallory Ladd picked up eight kills.  Lainey Stephenson finished with 32 assists and 15 digs.  Teddie Sauer ended with an ace and three blocks and Jenna Story had 15 digs.

First Set
The Raiders shot to leads of 10-7 and 14-10 as WSU posted an important 25-20 win.  WSU had 13 kills with Powers accounting for seven.  Stephenson had 10 assists.

Second Set
The Vikings jumped put to a 4-0 lead, but the Raiders bounced back to cut the score to 7-6 and 14-12 to stay close but CSU won 25-16.  Powers continued her offense with four more kills. 

Third Set
CSU bounced to a quick 10-4 lead and continued for a strong 25-10 win.  Power put up three kills and seven digs.

Fourth Set
Cleveland State continued their good play with leads of 10-5, 14-9 and 21-12 before winning 25-14.  CSU was led once again by Powers four kills.

Next Up
The Raiders will play at Oakland Wednesday night at 6 pm before hosting Green Bay next Sunday at 2 pm.
