A pair of first half goals were all the Wright State men's soccer team needed on Saturday night as the Raiders defeated Detroit Mercy 3-1 in Horizon League action at Alumni Field.

With the win, the Raiders improve to 6-5-1 overall and 2-3 in the Horizon League, while Detroit Mercy drops to 4-9-1 overall and 1-3-1 in conference action.

Ids Hannema scored the first goal of the night for Wright State in the 10
th minute of action off an assist from
Harvey Slade, while
Brayden McNitt doubled the Raider lead in the 39
th minute via a feed from
Deri Corfe.

Detroit Mercy pulled within a goal thanks to Mohamad Miri's score just before the half and the game remained that way until the closing moments when Corfe eluded the goalkeeper and found the back of the empty net in the 90
th minute.

- The Raiders outshot Detroit Mercy 23-11 on the night, with 13 of their attempts going on net. Wright State also recorded a 7-3 advantage in corner kick opportunities.
