The Wright State golf team was one of two programs to shoot under par as a team at the Tom Tontimonia Invitational as the Raiders carded an eight-under tournament on the way to a second-place team finish as Austin Schoonmaker finished tied for second individually.

Schoonmaker cared a three-round total of 206 to finish seven under, firing a pair of rounds in the 60s after opening with a 69 and closing the tournament with a round of 66. Mikkel Mathiesen also finished inside the top 10 with his even par score of 213 to finish tied for eighth. Bryce Haney shot a 67 in the second round on the way to his three-round total of 215 (two-over) and a tied for 13^th finish. Tyler Goecke (217 score, four-over) finished tied for 19^th and Cole Corder rounded out the Wright State team scoring at 224 (11-over, T-40).

Wright State's eight-under team score was seven shots off the 15-under team score of champion Bowling Green, while the Raiders' score was ahead of five other Horizon League schools in the field, including tournament host Cleveland State.

The Raiders close out their fall schedule with the Dayton Flyer Invitational on October 14 and 15.
