UNFAMILIAR TERRITORY
Tuesday night's game will be the first meeting between Tennessee Tech and Wright State in men's basketball history. The last time the Raiders faced a foe from the state was Tennessee in the 2018 NCAA Tournament, while their last regular season matchup with an opponent from the state was during the 2014-15 campaign. Wright State opened the season with a 73-70 home win on Nov. 14, 2014 against Belmont and then traveled to face Belmont on Dec. 11, a 79-71 victory.
Tennessee Tech is a member of the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) and joined the league in 1949 in the conference's second year of existence. Current Horizon League foe Youngstown State was in the OVC from 1981-88.
No. 11 BECOMES No. 33
With the final basket of his career-high 27 point game at Miami on Nov. 9, Loudon Love became the 33rd player in Wright State program history to reach the 1,000 career point mark. The most recent Raider to reach the mark had been Grant Benzinger (2014-18; 1,451 pts.). Love still has a ways to go to reach the top of the list and Bill Edwards' (1990–93) program record 2,303 points.
MID-MAJOR POLL
Wright State moved up two spots to No. 10 in the latest CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top 25, released on Nov. 11. The Raiders are the lone Horizon team in the rankings, but the poll also features HL foes Northern Kentucky and Oakland receiving votes. The Raiders were one of seven teams to move up this week, with Furman (from #15 to #7) and Illinois State (from NR to #18) making the biggest jumps.
