The Wright State men's basketball team battled all afternoon with visiting Indiana State, clamping down defensively in the final seconds of regulation and going to overtime before falling 84-77 at home on Saturday afternoon.

Trey Calvin tied the game at 73-all with a layup with 33 seconds remaining for Wright State. The play was originally whistled as a charge, but review showed the defender within the restricted area and the bucket counted to tie things up. Following a timeout, Indiana State let the clock wind down under 10 seconds before a jumper was off the mark and a pair of tip-in opportunities missed at the horn, sending the game to overtime.

After trading scores in the extra period, Indiana State took the lead for good on a Cooper Neese three pointer with 2:41 remaining. Wright State came up empty the rest of the way, missing five shot attempts and committing a pair of turnovers to end the afternoon.

Calvin finished with a career-best 15 points with three three-point baskets, a pair of rebounds and two steals to lead the Raiders, who also saw
James Manns tally a career-high 13 points, including 10 in the first half, with a trio of his own three-pointers.
Grant Basile was the third and final Wright State double figure scorer, finishing with 11 points and seven rebounds, five of which came on the defensive glass.

Wright State shot 41 percent (29-for-71) from the floor, while Indiana State connected at a 49 percent rate. The Raiders were outrebounded 49-32 by the Sycamores, but forced 20 turnovers and converted those into 27 points.

Keyed by the scoring games of Calvin and Manns, the Raider bench accounted for 42 points in the loss.
Jordan Ash added nine points off the bench as well, while
Skyelar Potter chipped in five of his own.

A tight game throughout, the lead changed 13 times and was tied at 11 different occasions. Neither team was able to stretch a lead to double digits, with the margin remaining within three scores all afternoon.

Neese finished with a game-high 25 points for Indiana State, who also saw Jordan Barnes tally 22 points and Tre Williams finish with 14 points.
