Wright State completed a 2-0 start at home with a blowout victory over the Ohio Bobcats. Wright State lit up the scoreboard with 13 runs and recorded a shutout for the first time this season. Zane Collins impressed on the mound, recording his third win in seven innings of scoreless baseball. The lefty allowed just two hits all day and had a no-hitter entering the sixth inning. Chase Slone had a productive day at the plate and put together RBI singles in three consecutive innings. The Raiders conclude the home weekend with a rematch against the Ohio Bobcats.

1st Inning
Starter Zane Collins rolled through the first inning in just six pitches capped off by a diving catch by Zach Weatherford in centerfield to end the inning. In the home half, Chase Slone and Peyton Burdick drew back-to-back walks and Seth Gray took a free pass on four pitches. Bobcat starter Joe Rock escaped from the inning with a strikeout of Zach Weatherford.

2nd Inning
After Collins needed only six pitches again to record the three outs in the second, Kyle Casserly earned a lead-off walk and Justin McConnell bunted for a single. JD Orr put a ball in play to score Kyle Casserly and the Raiders put the first run on the board.

5th Inning
Collins continued his dominance on the mound. The lefty ended another scoreless frame in the third with a strikeout, finishing the final at-bat with a perfectly placed breaking ball. He returned in the fourth with yet another three-up, three-down inning. Justin McConnell made back-to-back plays at second and a groundout to Seth Gray concluded a four-pitch fifth. In the bottom of the fifth, JD Orr took advantage of a Bobcat error and scooted to second on the same play. Chase Slone laced a ball back up the middle to score Orr, and Peyton Burdick and Alex Alders each drew walks to load the bases. Seth Gray ripped a ball into right field recording 2 RBI.

6th Inning
Ohio broke up the no-hitter bid with an infield single. Collins pitched around two baserunners in scoring position to continue his scoreless appearance. In the home half, Wright State added two more runs. Peyton Burdick smacked a double in the right field gap and Chase Slone scored his second run from first base.

7th Inning
After allowing two runners, Collins recorded two fly outs and Zach Weatherford threw a bullet to third to keep the lead runner on second. A ground ball ended the seventh. Weatherford hit a ball to the right field fence to lead-off the seventh and ended up on third, where Kyle Casserly scored him on an eight-pitch at bat. Wright State proceeded to load the bases and JD Orr came through with a two-RBI double. Chase Slone hit an RBI single for the third straight inning as the Raiders recorded their eleventh run of the game. Weatherford recorded his second hit of the inning as the hit parade continued. Wright State scored seven runs in the seventh on five hits.

9th Inning
Tyler Luneke entered the game on the mound in the eighth and set down the Bobcats in order after Peyton Burdick made a beautiful diving catch in right to end the inning. Jake Schrand came on in relief in the final inning to complete the shutout.
