@RaiderGang Splits DH at Milwaukee

The Wright State baseball team was back in action Saturday afternoon for a doubleheader in Milwaukee, splitting the games.  WSU came back after being down 12-1 to win 14-12 while the Panthers came back to win after being down 6-3 to win 7-6.  WSU is now 27-13, 11-7 while the Panthers are 22-14, 10-7.

GAME ONE
Milwaukee jumped to a quick 12-1 lead after three innings, but the Raiders chipped away the lead with two in the fourth, one in the fifth, three in the sixth and a grand slam by Damon Dues in the seventh to bring it to 12-11.  In the top of the eighth, a Chase Slone homerun to tie the score and the Raiders took their first advantage of the game at 13-12 as Dues doubled home Quincy Hamilton.  The Raiders got an insurance run with a homerun from Tyler Black in the ninth.  Dues had four hits and six RBI while JD Orr, Peyton Burdick, Seth Gray and Chase Slone collected multiple hit games.  Bradley Deboutte picked up the win as he went seven innings with seven strikeouts, giving up just two runs.

Top of Second:  Alex Alders homered to left field.
Top of Fourth: Gehrig Anglin doubled down the left field line for an RBI to score Chase Slone.   Damon Dues singled to shortstop to plate Anglin scored.
Top of Fifth:  Alex Alders reached on a fielder's choice to second base to score Seth Gray.
Top of Sixth:  Peyton Burdick flew out to left, scoring Cameron Rountree.
Top of Seventh: Damon Dues hit a grand slam to right field for four RBI, scoring JD Orr, Cameron Rountree and Chase Slone.
Top of Eighth: Chase Slone homered to left field. Quincy Hamilton singles and sacrificed to second by JD Orr and scored by a double from Damon Dues.
Top of Ninth: Tyler Black homered to right field.

GAME TWO
Both teams scored two runs in the first with Milwaukee plating a single run in the fourth before the Raiders took the 6-3 lead in the eight from a Damon Dues grand slam, his second of the day.  The Panthers scored on a sacrifice fly and a three-run homerun in the bottom of the ninth to win 7-6.  JD Orr, Damon Dues, Tyler Black, Zach Weatherford and Chase Slone each had two hits.  JD Orr picked up his 99th career steal, two short of WSU's record.  Chase Slone took the loss for WSU.

Top of First: Peyton Burdick grounded out to short to score JD Orr Damon Dues advanced to third. Seth Gray reached on an error by the left fielder as Damon Dues scored an unearned run.
Top of Eighth: Damon Dues hit his second grand slam of the day to right field, scoring JD Orr, Gehrig Anglin scored and Chase Slone.

Next Up
The Raiders come home to host Bowling Green Tuesday before playing at Dayton Wednesday.  WSU will host UIC next weekend.
