The Wright State golf team finished third after the first round of the Horizon League Championship in Howie-in-the-Hills, FL Sunday afternoon.
As a team, the Raiders shot 302, four strokes off the lead. Austin Schoonmaker and Bryce Haney lead WSU with first-round scores of 74 each to tie for fifth overall. Mitch Lehigh is tied for 12th with a 76.
"We did a lot of very good things today," WSU head coach Brian Arlinghaus said. "We made some mental errors and left 3-5 shots out there. However, day one is just about staying within striking distance, and we did just that."
The second round will be played Monday morning with the final round slated for Tuesday.
