The Wright State golf team completed day two at the NCAA Regional in Pullman, WA on Tuesday.
As a team, the Raiders are tied for 13th with scores of 302-297=599. Bryce Haney continues to top the WSU squad with scores of 70-76=146 tied for 60th while Austin Schoonmaker is shooting 75-74=149 for 65 place.
"We played pretty average golf for the better part of the day today, but made some big numbers coming down the stretch on some difficult holes in the wind, which cost us 4-5 shots," WSU head coach Brian Arlinghaus said. "Overall, I think the guys are learning a lot about what it's going to take to get us to the next level. We were definitely better than yesterday, and that's better than the other way around."
Texas A&M, nationally #20, leads the pack with scores of 269-268=537 while Blaine Hale of Oklahoma leads overall, shooting 68-62=130 at seven under.
The third and final round will be played Wednesday with the Raiders teeing of at 12:20 eastern. The Golf Channel will air segments throughout the day from various regional competitions. The low five teams and the low individual not on those teams from each regional will advance to the finals May 24-29 at Blessings Golf Club in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
