Baseball Falls in Second Game of Youngstown State Series Saturday

Youngstown, Ohio – The Raiders and Youngstown State Penguins continued their three-game weekend series Saturday afternoon, and after tying the game late, the Raiders dropped the second game of the series on a ninth inning sacrifice fly.

SCORING
1st Inning – For the second straight game of the series, the Raiders jumped out to an early lead in Saturday's game on an RBI single off the bat of Seth Gray.
6th Inning – After surrendering 4 total runs in the second and fifth innings to the Penguins, a Zane Harris sacrifice fly cut the Youngstown State lead to two runs at 4-2.
7th Inning – JD Orr brought home the third run of the game for Wright State on an RBI groundout, an unearned run due to a throwing error on the previous play.
8th Inning – Chase Slone brought the game level in the eighth inning with an RBI single down the left field line, plating Peyton Burdick from third base.
9th Inning – The Penguins would go on to win the game in the ninth with a one out sacrifice fly, evening the series at one game apiece.
