A pair of first half goals were all the Wright State men's soccer team needed on Tuesday night as the Raiders defeated future Horizon League foe Purdue Fort Wayne 3-1 in non-conference action at Alumni Field.
Alec Philippe finished the night with the Raiders' final two goals, but it was
Brayden McNitt's score in the 35
th minute that knotted the score at 1-all after Purdue Fort Wayne had just taken the lead on a strike from Alex Frank.
Philippe's 40
th minute goal turned out to be the eventual game-winner, as he bent a shot in under the crossbar off an assist from
Jeremie Charron. A one-goal game at the half, Philippe tallied his second goal in the 60
th minute via an assist from
Jackson Dietrich, who also recorded an assist on McNitt's goal in the first half.
The Wright State men's soccer team tallied four goals to open Horizon League play with a 4-1 road victory at Milwaukee on Saturday night. The Raiders improve to 4-2 overall and 1-0 in conference with their third straight win, while Milwaukee falls to 4-3 overall and 1-1 in the Horizon.

- The Raiders outshot Purdue Fort Wayne 23-5 on the night, with 10 of their attempts going on net. Wright State also recorded a 12-1 advantage in corner kick opportunities.
