The Wright State women's basketball team saw host IUPUI shoot nearly 50 percent as the Jaguars handed the Raiders an 80-60 loss on Saturday afternoon in Indianapolis, snapping Wright State's four-game winning streak.

A two-point game after the first quarter, IUPUI extended the advantage to eight at halftime and outscored the Raiders by 12 over the final two periods to come away with the win. Wright State is now 9-8 overall and 4-2 in Horizon League play, while IUPUI improved to 11-6 and 5-1 in conference action.

Three Raiders finished in double figures scoring, led by
Shamarre Hale's 13 points, while
Angel Baker and
Michal Miller each finished with 12 points.
Tyler Frierson added seven points,
Alexis Stover had six,
Jalise Beck tallied four points and both
Jada Roberson and
Anisja Harris finished with three points.

Wright State outshot IUPUI in the opening 10 minutes, but the Raiders were just 3-of-13 (23 percent) from the floor in the second quarter, while the Jaguars hit 41 percent of their shots over that stretch. IUPUI finished the afternoon shooting 49 percent (31-of-63) while Wright State connected at a 40 percent (21 of 52) mark.

The Raiders were outrebounded 37-30, while IUPUI recorded a 18-2 edge in points off turnovers. The Raider bench finished with 19 points to the Jaguar's four.

Macee Williams, the Horizon League's preseason Player of the Year, finished with 32 points to lead three IUPUI players in double figures.
