The Wright State men's basketball team will play its final non-conference game, and first contest away from the Nutter Center, on the 2020-21 schedule on Sunday afternoon when the Raiders travel up I-75 to take on Bowling Green. Tipoff is slated for 2 p.m., and fans can follow the action on ESPN+ or tune into Chris Collins and Jim Brown calling the play-by-play on WRZX 106.5 FM.
Wright State is 1-1 on the young season, dropping the opener to Marshall before a 24-point win over Miami (OH) last Saturday. After losing its opening game, Bowling Green has won its last four, but has not played since a victory over Buffalo last Sunday.
Raider fans are still able to show their support during the upcoming season through the Nutter Center Virtual Sellout campaign. The campaign enables fans to have a (virtual) seat in the arena, while cheering on the team from home. Last time out, four players once again scored in double figures for Wright State, but it was the defense that stood out as the Raiders tallied their first win of the young season with a 71-47 victory last Saturday over Miami (OH) inside the Nutter Center. Wright State held Miami (OH) to just 27.3 percent shooting from the floor and did not allow a RedHawk to reach double digits in the scorebook, holding the visitors to 21 second half points after leading by six points at the halftime break. Trey Calvin lead all scorers with his second straight 16-point effort, adding in five rebounds, three assists and a steal, while Tim Finke notched the lone double-double, tallying 13 points and a new career-best 11 rebounds in 35 minutes of action. Finke's 35 minutes was the most of any player for either side on Saturday and was also a new career-best.
