The Wright State baseball program will hold its 17th annual First Pitch Banquet – the Safe At Home edition – on Tuesday, February 16, at 7 p.m. The event, presented by Grunder Landscaping Company, will be conducted virtually due to the ongoing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.Â
The banquet, which marks the start of the college baseball season, will be pre-recorded and shown on the team's Facebook page. The video will feature speakers, player introductions and insights from head coach Alex Sogard. You can watch the First Pitch Safe At Home Banquet by clicking here. A Facebook profile is not required to access the team page and watch the banquet.
Raider supporters will be able to bid on a variety of baseball and sports memorabilia via online auction that will open on Wednesday, February 10 at 5 p.m. and close on Wednesday, February 17 at 9 p.m. Click here to view and bid on items. Â
There is no cost to view the event or to participate in the auction.
If you are unable to join us on Feb. 16, you can still make a donation to support the baseball program through the Baseball Sports Excellence Fund.Â
All proceeds from the event will benefit current and future student-athletes of the Wright State baseball program. For more information, contact Gary Dillabaugh via email at gary.dillabaugh@wright.edu, or his office phone, 937-775-4936.
