Box Score The Wright State women's basketball completed the weekend sweep of Northern Kentucky on Saturday afternoon, as the Raiders handed the Norse a 63-54 loss inside BB&T Arena.
Wright State improves to 15-5 overall and 15-3 in conference play, while Northern Kentucky falls to 6-9 overall and 6-4 in HL action. Notably, Saturday's victory over the Norse tallied Wright State 13
th consecutive win over Northern Kentucky.
Just 30 seconds into the contest, Wright State looked to make its presence known as 
Tyler Frierson's layup gave the Raiders a 2-0 lead. Northern Kentucky quickly answered, as the Norse pulled within one just before the first media timeout. Wright State would go on a 13-2 run over four minutes before allowing another NKU basket. The second quarter saw the Norse tally 15 total points while the Raiders recorded just 12.
The third quarter proved to be the difference maker as Wright State held Northern Kentucky to just 12 points over the 10 minute period. 
Jada Wright's free throw with 9:21 to play in the third quarter started a 9-0 by the Raiders. NKU looked to answer in the fourth quarter as the Norse outscored Wright State 17-10 in the final 10 minutes, but that wouldn't be enough.
Emani Jefferson tallied her second consecutive double-figure contest, tallying 17 points (seventh of the season). 
Angel Baker added 16 points, while 
Tyler Frierson's 12 rebounds were a game-high.
Jefferson finished the afternoon shooting a perfect 7-for-7 from the field and 2-for-2 from beyond the arc. The freshman pulled down four rebounds and a team-leading three steals and two blocks. Baker went a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line while also tallying adding two three-pointers and pulling down three rebounds. Frierson added eight points to go with her 12 rebounds, going 4-for-6 from the floor and tallying one steal and one block in 18 minutes of action.
The Raiders shot 42.3 percent for the game, while the Norse shot 36.7 percent. Wright State tallied 15 points off NKU turnovers, while the Norse tallied 11. In the paint Wright State found another advantage, outscoring the Norse 32-18. The Raiders tallied 21 second chance points, while holding NKU to just seven.
Wright State won the battle on the boards for the 19th consecutive time this season, in convincing fashion out rebounding NKU 45-19 overall. At halftime, Wright State had 22 rebounds to NKU's five. Wright State won the offensive battle on the boards, pulling down 20 rebounds to the Norse's eight. The defensive side of things saw Wright State pull down 25, while NKU tallied 11.
