Men's Soccer hits the road for final regular season contest Monday

The Wright State men's soccer team will make the short trip to Indiana for the final regular-season matchup against Horizon League newcomer Purdue Fort Wayne Monday afternoon. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Wright State – The Raiders are coming off a crucial 1-0 victory on the road against Horizon League newcomer Robert Morris on Tuesday. After taking a ball at midfield, Ludwig Conrad cut through the Colonial defense on a pass from Presten Manthey in the 29th minute before pulling up near the corner of the 18-yard box, firing a hard strike past RMU's keeper into the upper left-hand corner to give the Raiders a 1-0 advantage. Wright State found the advantage in total shots 18-10, while also earning a 9-3 edge in shots on goal. The Raiders outshot the Colonials 10-4 in the second half.
Purdue Fort Wayne – The Mastodons tallied four goals on their way to defeating Detroit Mercy 4-2 on Tuesday afternoon. Four different players contributed to the scoring efforts as Luke Benford put the hosts up 1-0 in the 15th minute and Logan Lee added another Mastodons' goal in the 22nd. In a match that saw four second-half goals, PFW found the advantage in the 67th minute as they netted two goals within 20 seconds of each other. Detroit Mercy earned its second goal off a PFW own goal in the 90th minute.

SCOUTING THE MASTODONS
- In their final year as a member of The Summit League, the Mastodons tallied a 3-15 overall record with an 0-5 conference mark during the 2019 season. Wright State and Purdue Fort Wayne met on September 24, 2019, with the Raiders tallying a 3-1 victory. Â
- PFW was picked to finish 10th in the Horizon League preseason poll, receiving 27 votes.
- Less than 24 hours after earning the No. 8 spot in the RPI on September 24, 2018, the Mastodons beat Green Bay with a 1-0 shutout. Matthew Lieshout scored his eighth goal of the season to move Purdue Fort Wayne to 6-3-0.
