The Wright State track and field program turned in a pair of impressive performances at the Gladstein Invitational on Friday inside the Harry Gladstein Fieldhouse.

The Raiders brought two student-athletes — Shelby Nolan and Abigail Halsey — to race in the 3,000-meter run in Bloomington, Indiana. Both runners managed to achieve top-five marks in school history.

Abigail Halsey placed third out of 11 competitors in the first heat of the 3,000-meter run. Her personal-record time of 10:16.65 was the fifth-fastest 3K by an individual in school history.

Nolan earned runner-up in the following heat by posting a season-best time of 9:44.24, just five seconds shy of her school-record mark in the 3K. Overall, she possessed the second-fastest time out of 22 competitors in the event.

WSU will return to action tomorrow at the Mastodon Invitational hosted by Purdue Fort Wayne. Field events will get underway at 11 a.m. before running events begin at noon.
