Jenna Story finished with 30 digs in the win, the eighth time this season she's recorded 25-plus digs, as she moved into third place all-time in NCAA history with 2,816 career digs and counting. Story passed Paula Gentil, who played at Minnesota from 2002-05. She is just 360 digs shy of the top two spots all-time in NCAA history.
Taylor Bransfield led the way for Wright State, collecting a career-high 19 kills on a .441 hitting percentage as the Raiders hit .232 as a group while holding Green Bay to a .163 team percentage, including -.026 and .000 hitting marks in the final two sets.
Bransfield tallied nine blocks to go along with her kills as Megan Alders added 14 kills while Sam Ott notched her eighth double-double of the season with 15 kills and 19 digs. Callie Martin finished just shy of a double-double of her own, collecting 19 digs and eight kills, while Lainey Stephenson added another double-double to her stat line, digging 13 balls while passing out 52 of the Raiders' 61 assists.
SET ONE
Even throughout, the Raiders pulled ahead at the midway point with a 4-1 mini run behind a pair of kills from Alders and a kill from Bransfield to push to a 15-10 advantage. Wright State looked to be in control down the stretch, tallying three of four points thanks to kills from Bransfield and Martin to lead 23-19, but five straight points from Green Bay gave the hosts the temporary advantage. The Raiders weathered the storm however, tying the set at 24-all on a Bransfield kill and then tallying the final three points behind kills from Bransfield and Ott.
SET TWO
A near mirror image from the opening set, both sides tallied four-point runs early but were unable to gain control, jostling four positioning all the way to a 19-all score. Three straight points from the Raiders thanks to a pair of kills from Martin and one from Alders pushed them to 23-21, but again the hosts had a response, scoring three points of their own to jump into the lead and later closing the set with a Raider attacking error and a kill.
SET THREE
After trading points early in the set, Green Bay took control with a 10-3 run in the middle of the set to push out to a 19-14 advantage. Wright State was never able to tally more than two straight points the rest of the set as the sides alternated points and the hosts found the five-point set win.
SET FOUR
The set was never in doubt, as the Raiders tallied six of the first eight points amid a 15-3 run to open the set as Alders, Bransfield and Ott all had multiple kills. Green Bay tried to pull back into the set, but after a kill by the hosts made it a 22-11 score, Wright State recorded the final three points on a kill from Jakyla Jackson before back-to-back Green Bay attacking errors wrapped up the set.
SET FIVE
Similar to the previous set, the Raiders jumped ahead and never looked back, tallying five of the first six points and 12 of the first 14 points in part thanks to four kills from Alders as the deciding set was never in doubt. A 7-1 run by Green Bay made the final score look closer before two final kills from Ott ended the night.
