Golf opens spring slate in Georgia this weekend

DAYTON – The Wright State golf team tees off its spring 2022 schedule this weekend at the two-day Savannah Intercollegiate at Crosswinds Golf Club. The action in Georgia will begin with 8 a.m. shotgun starts both days.

Wright State finished its first fall under head coach Conner Lash with the four straight team titles, winning the Earl Yestingmeier Invitational, Valpo Fall Invitational, Georgia State Invitational and the Flyer Invite after opening the fall with a second-place team finish at the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational. In addition to the team success, four different Raiders recorded individual wins during the fall schedule.

The field will play 36 holes on Saturday and then a final 18 holes on Sunday, with the par 72 Crosswinds Golf Club playing 6,750 yards.

Joining the Raiders in the 17-team field will be: Belmont, Columbia, Eastern Kentucky, Florida A&M, George Washington, Georgia Southern, Lafayette, Longwood, Miami (Ohio), North Carolina Central, Northern Kentucky (two teams), Savannah College of Art & Design, South Carolina Beaufort, Southern Illinois and Troy.
