T&F places eighth at HL Indoor Championships

The Wright State women's track and field program placed eighth with 29 points at the Horizon League Indoor Championship on Sunday in Youngstown, Ohio.Â
Shelby Nolan led the Raiders with a pair of podium finishes. The graduate student opened the day by taking third in the mile with a time of 5:03.02. She went on to earn eighth in the 800-meter run finals, crossing the finish line at 2:21.33.Â
Kaitlyn Miller took home eighth in the mile with a personal-record time of 5:12.84. She moved into the Raider top-10 list with the podium mark. Nataly Dunes Diaz placed 18th overall at 5:35.76, while Anna Johnson was 21st (6:12.76) in the race.Â
In the 3,000-meter run, Abigail Halsey finished with a time of 10:09.69, good for fifth out of 34 competitors. Emma Shigley followed Halsey by placing sixth overall at 10:13.27.Â
Amelia Harlow was just shy of reaching the podium in the high jump, placing ninth with a top clearance of 1.55 meters. Cierra Lively and Tatiana Brown also competed in the high jump, failing to clear their opening heights.Â
The Raider closed the championship meet with a ninth-place finish in the 4x400 meter relay, as the quartet of Alycea Ruhlen, Nolan, Emma Carr, and Alicia Neumeier raced to a time of 4:16.34.
