Raiders head to Yellowjacket Invitational

The Wright State track and field program will compete in nearby Cedarville, Ohio at the Yellowjacket Invitational on Saturday, March 26.Â
Field and running events at the Yellow Jacket Track and Field Complex will get underway at 10 a.m. The Raiders will compete alongside meet host Cedarville, Ashland, Cleveland State, Findlay, Hillsdale, Kentucky Christian, Malone, Ohio, Walsh, Wayne State, and several other schools.Â

LAST TIME OUT
Last weekend, Wright State opened its outdoor season at the Miami Blizzard Buster, posting several personal bests and Raider top-10 list performances.Â
>> Abigail Halsey took seventh out of 37 competitors in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 10:05.96, the second-fastest mark in school history. Two more Raiders finished in the top half of the results, as Emma Shigley finished 15th overall (10:19.26) and sixth in the Raider top-10 list, followed by Kaitlyn Miller in 17th (10:33.51) and seventh in program history.Â
>> Melissa Siler placed fifth in the javelin with a best throw of 33.84 meters, climbing to fifth in the Raider top-10 list with the PR mark. Tatiana Brown was 12th in the javelin at 25.42 meters.Â
>> Bekah Robertson had Raider-best marks in the 100-meter hurdles (15.98), 200-meter dash (28.54), and long jump (5.16m), while also finishing 17th in the javelin (17.52m).Â
>> Alycea Ruhlen led WSU in the 400-meter dash by placing 10th overall and third in her heat with a time of 1:04.92. Emma Carr and Kira Ball also took part in the event, finishing with times of 1:09.17 and 1:15.60.Â
>> In the high jump, Cierra Lively tied for 12th with a best clearance of 1.45 meters.Â
>> Alicia Neumeier ran to a team-best time of 5:03.31 in the 1,500-meter run. Nataly Dunes Diaz (5:23.41), Anna Johnson (5:49.57), and Brooklyn Salyers (5:56.91) rounded out Raiders in the race.
