Raiders travel to Nashville to tee off at Big Blue Intercollegiate

DAYTON – The Wright State golf team tees off for the first time in April as the Raiders compete at the Big Blue Intercollegiate in Nashville on Monday and Tuesday. The tournament begins a busy April for the Raiders, who will host the Wright State Invitational next week and battle for the Horizon League Championship at the end of the month.

Action gets underway in Nashville on Monday at 9 a.m. ET with 36 holes before the final 18 holes on Tuesday.

PLEASE NOTE: THERE WILL BE NO LIVE SCORING FOR THIS EVENT. THE TOURNAMENT'S SCORING PAGE WILL BE UPDATED FOLLOWING EACH ROUND.

The Raiders are coming off a sixth-place finish at the Seahawk Intercollegiate back on March 27 and 28, while Tyler Goecke captured his second individual title of the spring season at the tournament. Goecke was later named the Horizon League Golfer of the Week for the third time this spring following his eight-under showing in North Carolina. For Wright State as a team, the tournament marked the first time this season, fall or spring, that the Raiders have finished outside of the top five as a group. Combined across both the fall and spring, the Raiders enter Nashville with five team titles in nine tournaments.

The Big Blue Intercollegiate is hosted by Tennessee State University and includes teams from Belmont, UT Martin, North Carolina A&T, Tennessee Tech, Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Murray State, Evansville, Alabama A&M, Longwood and John Logan College in addition to the Raiders.

Action will take place on the Hermitage Golf Club's President's Reserve Course, which will play to a par of 71 over 7,157 yards. The 18th hole is listed as a par five on the scorecard but will be played as a par four for the tournament.
