NASHVILLE – The Wright State golf team boasted the top group and the top individual through 18 holes at the Big Blue Intercollegiate on Monday, as the second round was suspended due to thunderstorms and flooding on the course.
There is no live scoring available, but the majority of the field had four holes remaining in their second rounds, while others had five holes to play to complete the opening 36 holes.
Wright State carded a 292 team score and was eight-over as a group to lead the field by three strokes through 18 holes despite the wet and windy conditions.
Tyler Goecke was the only player in the field to be under par after the first round, as he tallied a one-under 70 to sit atop the leaderboard. He was one shot clear of Belmont's Jack Uselton for the individual lead through 18.
The rest of the Raider lineup played well behind Goecke, as
Bryce Haney Mikkel Mathiesen and
Davis Root all turned in rounds of 74 to sit as part of a large tie for ninth at three-over through the opening round.
Cole Corder was one shot back at four-over in a tie for tenth following his 75.
