Raiders place 15th at Oliver Nikoloff Invitational

The Wright State track and field program placed 15th with 12 points at the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational on Saturday, April 2, at Gettler Stadium in Cincinnati.
Abigail Halsey headlined the Raiders with a second-place mark in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, finishing with a time of 10:59.07. Emma Shigley had a strong showing in the 5,000-meter run, earning 15th out of 47 runners at 17:39.80. Emma Johnson placed 40th in the event with a time of 18:53.60.Â
A pair of Raiders earned points in the javelin, as Melissa Siler claimed seventh (29.07m), followed by Tatiana Brown in eighth (25.06m).Â
Cierra Lively shined the high jump, tying for seventh overall with a clearance of 1.56 meters. Amelia Harlow finished 14th in the event at 1.51 meters.Â
In the 800-meter run, Alicia Neumeier crossed the finish line at 2:17.96, good for 16th out of 41 runners. Bekah Robertson took 13th in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 16:05, followed by Siler in 22nd (18.23) and Brown in 23rd (18.26).Â
In the 1500-meter run, Nataly Dunes Diaz posted a team-best time of 5:17.14. Ruhlen was close behind at 5:23.12, while Anna Johnson and Brooklyn Salyers had marks of 5:34.45 and 5:51.74, respectively.Â
Emma Carr and Kira Ball each competed in the 200- and 400-meter dashes. Carr posted times of 29.31 and 1:08.26, while Ball timed at 31.54 and 1:15.02.Â
The quartet of Neumeier, Alycea Ruhlen, Robertson, and Carr closed the invitational with a ninth-place finish in the 4x400 meter relay (4:13.59).Â
